What We Do

Four Pillars of Conflict Intelligence

We combine advanced AI with deep domain expertise to provide actionable insights where they matter most.

Conflict Forecasting
Anticipate trajectories before they unfold

Our models analyze patterns in political rhetoric, resource stress, and historical precedent to forecast likely conflict trajectories—giving decision-makers time to act before situations escalate.

Rhetoric Analysis
Decode the signals in public discourse

We monitor and analyze political speech, media narratives, and social discourse to identify escalatory language, disinformation campaigns, and shifts in public sentiment that precede conflict.

Scenario Modeling
Map decision trees and possible futures

We model actors, their goals, and likely responses to generate decision trees that illuminate pathways—both toward escalation and toward de-escalation and resolution.

Decision Support
Actionable insights for critical moments

We synthesize complex information into clear, prioritized recommendations—helping mediators, negotiators, and leaders make informed decisions under pressure.

Our People

The Team

We are a team of researchers, technologists, and practitioners united by a shared conviction: that the tools shaping our world should serve its stability, not undermine it. We come from diverse backgrounds—national security, humanitarian response, financial crime prevention, and advanced AI systems—but share a commitment to building technology that supports human judgment in the moments that matter most.

Merritt Cooke

Merritt Cooke

CEO & Co-Founder

Merritt Cooke is the CEO and Co-Founder of Boggs AI, where she leads the company's vision at the intersection of political risk analysis, conflict prevention, and responsible AI. Her work centers on building analytical systems that support earlier understanding of political dynamics, with particular attention to how rhetoric and power structures contribute to instability. She brings subject-matter expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counterterrorism Financing (CTF), with experience examining the role of illicit finance in geopolitical contexts.

Merritt holds a BA in Psychology from Syracuse University and is pursuing an MA in International Relations from American University, where her academic focus is conflict prevention and international negotiation. She also holds certificates in Movements and Civil Resistance from the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict and Open-Source Investigation from the University of California, Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism. Her writing on AML and its intersection with the art market has appeared in ACAMS Today. In addition to her work at Boggs AI, she serves on the American Red Cross disaster relief team and supports humanitarian and civil-society initiatives that engage conflict-affected regions and displaced communities through artistic expression.
